There is a growing interest on the part of organized neighborhoods to be involved in creating the future of their neighborhood.  The city initiated the process to update the City of Asheville Comprehensive Plan in the spring of 2016 and the Planning and Urban Design Department explored ways to involve neighborhood residents and other community members in this important process to vision our City’s future.  On Saturday, November 7, 2015, more than 35 neighborhoods joined with the Neighborhood Advisory Committee and city Planning staff to begin the conversation about neighborhood planning and how to build on this interest to benefit the Comprehensive Planning process.
